In an appeal initiated by Christiana Figueres, the former architecht behind the Paris Agreement, over 1,000 leaders signed their name to an open letter to the COP28 summit appealing once and for all that fossil fuels must be phased out.
Despite the overwhelming presence of fossil fuel lobbyists at COP28, it seems now that we may truly see tangible, actionable roadmaps for phasing out fossil fuels as a result of all our climate action.
