Roman Lehner
Roman Lehner holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from the University of Basel. He works for OceanCare, a Swiss-based non-governmental organization that focuses on the protection of marine mammals and oceans through research and conservation projects, campaigns, and environmental education, and contributes to a range of important international committees.

Die durch OceanCare in der Schweiz lancierte App „Beat the Microbeads“ ermöglicht KonsumentInnen zudem, Kosmetikprodukte ohne Mikroplastik zu wählen und damit den Plastikeintrag in die Gewässer zu reduzieren. OceanCare verfolgt dieses Ziel des Weiteren mit Beach Cleanings und via Tierretter, die in Plastik verfangene Meerestiere vor Ort befreien.
